Business Process Management (BPM) is the very essence of how your business operates and delivers value for customers. BPM aligns business processes with the organization strategic goals and involves e.g. analyzing, designing, implement, monitoring and improving of processes. Processes are archived in a strauctured manner in a digital and accessible repository and facilitated via a Centre of Excellence.
BPM serves as the foundation of a quality management system (QMS/ISO 9001), but is also relevant for large transitions such as Carve Outs and Mergers.
BPM creates more agile operations and aims for End-to-End insights and improvements across the entire chain. BPM is often integrated with disciplines such as Enterprise Architecture and Risk & Compliance management.
See my blog page for blogs and podacts in which i further explain the topic.
